Shares of Green Mountain (Nasdaq: GMCR) have ticked higher over the last few minutes of trade as Bloomberg's First Word service is highlighting a note from Janney Capital's Mark Kalinowski which suggests Starbucks (Nasdaq: SBUX) may begin selling K-Cups as soon as this week. The introduction would be earlier than previously expected.
Kalinowski said stores in NYC and Philly may start selling K-Cups on Monday of next week.
Janney currently rates both Green Mountain and Starbucks shares at Buy.
Green Mountain shares last traded at $24.24, down about 1 percent from Wednesday's close, while Starbucks shares are up 0.5 percent to $53.73.
