Goldman Sachs today maintained a Neutral Heartland Payment Systems (NYSE: HPY) with a price target of $32.00. In order to become more constructive, analyst said it would have to shift way from focusing on the U.S.

"We believe diversifying away from core US acquiring would be a positive for sentiment and could deliver operating margins above the consolidated average if operated at scale," said analyst Roman Leal.

Leal called Heartland Payment one of the most controversial stocks in payments. Last week analysts at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey upgraded Heartland Payment to Buy.
