Gleacher & Co. maintains a 'Buy' on AMD (NYSE: AMD) price target of $12.00.
Gleacher analyst says, "We believe AMD continues to actively compete in graphics through more widespread content plays: integrated APUs, discrete graphics and gaming systems. While it is broadly exposed to changing dynamics in discrete graphics demand and tiering vs. NVIDIA (Nasdaq: NVDA), AMD (NYSE: AMD) is also responsible for conversion of discrete demand to APU as APU performance ramps."
"2012 estimates going materially higher: Post solid results and guidance we are revising our 2012 revenue and EPS higher to $7.43bil and $1.03 (vs. prior $7.21bil and $0.88 and the Street's $7.11bil and $0.74) given the magnitude of higher incremental fall-through. In fact, we believe our $1.03 could prove to be a low-bar."
