Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster thinks the new setup could lead to improved user engagement and new monetization opportunities.

In particular, Munster sees the richer content on the new News Feed -- in images and video -- leading to better response rates for advertisers' sponsored stories.

Piper rates Facebook at Overweight, with a price target of $41 (as of June 27, 2012). Shares of Facebook are up 4.1 percent late Thursday.
