Based on recent reports, Nokia's (NYSE: NOK) Lumina 920/820 are seeing early success and selling out in many markets. However, one analyst is warning investors not to put too much faith in the data.

Handelsbanken said the data may be a "storm in a teacup" and noted that similar comments were reported when Nokia launched the Lumia 800/900 and were nothing but hot air.

The Swedish investment bank said the key is China, which they said is the most important market introduction. Shipping to China is expected in late December.

Do you understand NOK has three divisions and over 100k employees? Even if the Lumia 920 has success, it's a storm in a teacup for the entire company bleeding money.
People buying NOK on Lumia news alone are delusioned.

They sold out in 30 minutes on preorder in China. Are you telling me that they are willingly offering a small number of preorders in CHINA? No I don't think so. Last time it was China Telecom that had it, China Mobile picked up the 920 this time. The ignorant analysts should see that over 600 million subscribers is twice the US population on one provider. Thats the provider that sold out the 920. I think Nokia will be doing just fine this Christmas.

I don't agree with this analyst at all. Nokia didn't sell so many lumia 900/800 because people were waiting for WP8. When Nokia launched Lumia 900, withen few weeks Microsoft announced that they will launch wp8 OS later in 2012. That was the reason I didn't buy Lumia 900 in early 2012. Last week I purchased Lumia 920, and I'm very happy with the wp8 OS and the handset.
