Despite Several Issues, Green Plains Renewable (GPRE) Still A Buy, Thinks Analyst

Green Plains Renewable Energy (NASDAQ: GPRE) reported Q4 earnings last week, topping consensus EPS estimates on stronger than expected revenue.

Analyst Matthew Farwell said, "We see significant optionality in GPRE shares if industry ethanol margins improve in 4Q13, but remain concerned about blend wall issues, refining industry reluctance to adopt higher ethanol blends, and weak margins associated with an over-supplied market and flat gasoline demand."

Imperial Capital today reiterated an Outperform rating on Green Plains Renewable Energy with a price target of $10.00.
