Cramer on McDonald's (MCD): Buy More If Yield Hits 4%

October 15, 2009 12:24 PM EDT

Shares of McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) are moving higher this morning following a positive mention on Jim Cramer's Mad Money last night. The stock is currently up 0.9% to $58.02.

Taking a caller during his Lightning Round segment, Cramer told viewers that he likes McDonald's and its $0.55 quarterly dividend which is now yielding above 3.5%. Cramer said that if the yield gets to 4% -- meaning the stock price would have fallen -- he would recommending buying more shares. To get to this very nice yield, as I'm sure Cramer would say, shares of McDonald's would need to fall to $55. Cue the beeping sound of a truck backing up and a hearty "Come on back!" from Jim.
