This morning, Capital One downgraded several Oil & Gas stocks including:
Newfield Exploration (NYSE: NFX) was downgraded from Strong Buy to Add.
Chesapeake Energy (NYSE: CHK), Goodrich Petroleum (NYSE: GDP), GMX Resources (Nasdaq: GMXR), Forest Oil (NYSE: FST), Quicksilver Resources (NYSE: KWK), Petroquest Energy (NYSE: PQ), Rex Energy (Nasdaq: REXX), and Ultra Petroleum (NYSE: UPL) were downgraded from Add to Neutral.
Ironically, all the stocks opened lower, but have since moved higher, most back into positive territory.
