Canaccord Genuity on Telecommunications: Takeaways From Management Meetings
Analyst, Greg Miller, said, "After separate management meetings with three of the four largest wireless carriers in the past week, we believe it is increasingly clear that the US wireless business will continue to intensify with recent changes to Verizon’s (NYSE: VZ) pricing in addition to likely changes in pricing at T-Mobile – moves that will likely be followed by the others. Further, we believe the meetings and events of the past week are yet another indication that, absent M&A activity, it will be increasingly difficult for the smallest competitors in the market, Metro PCS (NYSE: PCS) and Leap Wireless (Nasdaq: LEAP), to remain relevant over the long term."
Miller maintains a 'Hold' rating on Verizon (NYSE: VZ), AT&T (NYSE: T), Leap (Nasdaq: LEAP) and Metro PCS (NYSE: PCS)
