Barclays, Fox-Pitt Analysts Cut Q3 Estimates on Morgan Stanley (MS)

Analysts at both Barclays and Fox-Pitt Kelton have cut their Q3 earnings estimates on shares of Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) this morning. Over the last two weeks, at least five analyst firms have revised their estimates on the tumultuous bank.

Today, Barclays analyst Roger Freeman lowered his quarterly EPS estimate from $0.75 to $0.26 and Fox-Pitt's David Trone moved his estimate from $0.61 to $0.42. Following the recent round of analyst estimate cuts, the Street is currently looking for Q3 EPS of $0.36.

Barclays maintains an Equalweight rating and $32 price target on shares of Morgan Stanley, while Fox-Pitt maintains an In-Line rating and $30 target.

Shares of Morgan Stanley have fallen more than 2% over the last two weeks, and are indicated about a percent lower this morning. The stock most recently traded at $30.54.
