Baird Maintains a 'Neutral' on MannKind (MNKD), Sees $1 Upside in Near-Term
Baird maintains a 'Neutral' on MannKind Corporation (Nasdaq: MNKD). Price target $4.
Baird analyst says, "We are incrementally positive on Neutral-rated MNKD and believe the stock could gain ~$1 over the near term. Assuming detailed data and secondary endpoints do not disappoint two weeks from now, we believe positive pivotal trial data for Afresa (Technosphere Insulin) may be seen as a de-risking event. The next catalysts are additional data during the week of 12/15/08, NDA filing around late-January, and possible commercial partnership later in 2009...No changes to model/EPS for now. We assume 67% probability of regulatory approval and commercial success and would typically move to 85% upon NDA filing. Sensitivity analysis suggests this would correlate to $1/share."
MannKind Corporation (MannKind) is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of therapeutic products for diseases, such as diabetes and cancer.
