LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
BMC Software (NYSE: BMC) today announced Luca Lazzaron has been appointed to Vice President and General Manager, EMEA, effective immediately.
Lazzaron, who joined BMC as part of the company's acquisition of BladeLogic, will be responsible for driving sales and building the organization across EMEA.
An executive with deep sales experience, Lazzaron was previously responsible for managing BladeLogic's sales operations for EMEA. Earlier in his career, he was the Regional Vice President for the Southern and Eastern EMEA region for Portal Software, a provider of billing and revenue management solutions. He also held numerous EMEA management positions in sales and business development for Cisco Systems.
John McMahon, BMC's senior vice president for worldwide sales and services, said: "Luca Lazzaron has a very strong track record in sales, most recently heading up BladeLogic's operations across EMEA to ensure a strong and profitable business. Lazzaron holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Venice.
