Auxilium's (AUXL) Testosterone Gel Growth Encouraging, Say Analysts

Jefferies maintained a Buy on Auxilium Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: AUXL) and cuts its price target to $29.00 (from $32.00).

"AUXL reported lower-than-expected Testim revenue and announced the Xiaflex EU collaboration with Pfizer (NYSe: PFE) is ending, both contributing to lower revenue guidance," noted analyst Thomas Wei.

"However, we previously assumed a modest valuation contribution from Xiaflex EU royalties and are encouraged Testim guidance itself reflects expectations for near-term growth in 4Q12," added Wei.
