Global Equities is commenting on Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) following news Thursday that its Apple Watch is seeing delays due to a defective component.
Analyst Trip Chowdhry said that the firm spoke with 15 Apple Watch developers last weekend. In part, the analyst said the Apple Watch's taptic vibrator issue has been resolved and shipments are picking up.
Chowdhry also said:
- These developers, who we spoke to, have not experienced any Taptic Engine Problem
- It is widely believed that the production of Apple Watches has accelerated and hence the shipping times are also getting reduced by 2 to 3 weeks from the prior scheduled delivery times
Chowdhry believes that the taptic vibrator issue was "old news."
Shares of Apple are down 2.2 percent.
