Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq: JAVA) 81% HIGHER; Wall Street Journal reported earlier that Sun will be acquired by IBM (NYSE: IBM). The Journal said the deal could come in between $10-$11 per share.
Alabama Aircraft Industries (Nasdaq: AAII) 31% LOWER; announced that it has submitted written notice to the NASDAQ Stock Market LLC of its intention to delist its common stock from the NASDAQ. MORE
Schawk (NYSE: SGK) 29% LOWER; Baird downgrades Schawk (NYSE: SGK) from Outperform to Underperform. Price target lowered from $14 to $6.
E*Trade Financial (Nasdaq: ETFC) 24% HIGHER; reported it opened 62,361 gross new retail accounts in February, with net new retail accounts of 10,684. This included 11,998 net new brokerage accounts and 3,227 net new banking accounts, offset by a net loss of 4,541 stock plan accounts. MORE
Novogen Limited (Nasdaq: NVGN) 23% HIGHER; NV-128, a Novogen, Ltd. (NASDAQ: NVGN) compound, induced cell death in ovarian cancer stem cells in a dose-dependent manner. Because ovarian cancer stem cells usually survive conventional chemotherapy, these cells are considered to be the potential source of recurrence. It appears that NV-128 promotes cell death in these cancer stem cells through inhibition of the mTOR and other pathways.

Darden Restaurants (NYSE: DRI) 15% HIGHER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.80, ex-items, above the consensus of $0.68. Revenues came in at $1.8 billion, versus the consensus of $1.81 billion. Darden's Board declared a quarterly dividend of 20 cents per share. Issues favorable guidance. MORE
General Mills (NYSE: GIS) 10% LOWER; reports Q3 earnings of $0.79 per share, ex-items, below the consensus of $0.88. Revenues came in at $3.54 billion, versus the consensus of $3.54 billion. General Mills sees FY09 EPS of $3.87-$3.89 versus prior guidane of $3.83-$3.87 and the consensus of $3.94.
Rio Tinto (NYSE: RTP) 8% LOWER; risk Rio Tinto's deal with China's Chinalco (NYSE: ACH) isn't approved after Australian lawmakers moved to vote for an inquiry into last month's $19.5 billion funding deal amid growing criticism.
Actuant Corp (NYSE: ATU) 5% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.09, 5 cents below the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenues for the quarter were $300 million, versus the consensus of $315.57 million. Actuant sees Q3 EPS 12c to 20c versus consensus of 29 cents. Actuant sees Q3 revenue $300M to $320M versus consensus of $361.09 million
