NWND President Attends White House Forum

October 29, 2009 8:55 AM EDT

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- National Wind Solutions, Inc. (PinkSheets: NWND) announced today that its President, Maurice Stone, was an invited attendee of a "Clean Energy Forum" held at the White House on October 28th. Mr. Stone was invited to the forum through his Chairmanship of the Energy Committee for the National Black Chamber of Commerce.

The forum, lead by Secretary of Energy, Steven Chu and Assistant to the President on Climate and Energy, Carol Browner, was designed to discuss how Science and Innovation will lead the way to tomorrow's green jobs. A select group of business leaders, energy experts and labor leaders joined the Secretary and White House staff to discuss and provide individual views on the opportunities and challenges presented in the clean energy economy and the national debate over our energy future.

As President Obama has said, "The United States led the world's economies in the 20th century because we led the world in innovation. Today, the competition is keener; the challenge is tougher. And that's why our work is more important than ever."

"It was nice that the Administration did the outreach to clarify their direction and goals in regard to Energy and the Environment," stated Harry Alford, President of the National Black Chamber of Commerce.

"Secretary Chu was very straight forward in outlining the Department of Energy's plans and programs to support alternative energy through direct investments and loan guarantees," said Stone. "In addition, Ms. Browner made it adamantly clear that the Obama Administration is dedicated to using renewable and alternative energy sources in greater mass to address the ever increasing energy needs of the US."

Among the companies represented at the forum were Energy Conversion Devices (NASDAQ: ENER), CREE, Inc. (NASDAQ: CREE), Pepco Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: POM) and A123 Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: AONE).
