(Nasdaq: MAPP) 133% HIGHER; announced that the efficacy portion of its first Phase 3 clinical trial evaluating its novel LEVADEX(TM) orally inhaled migraine therapy met all four primary endpoints. Additional endpoints showed that LEVADEX provided rapid and sustained pain relief for up to 48 hours after dosing.
Cytokinetics Inc. (Nasdaq: CYTK) 44.2% HIGHER; surging on news Amgen Inc. (Nasdaq: AMGN) exercised its option to obtain an exclusive license, worldwide (excluding Japan), to Cytokinetics' cardiac contractility program. United Therapeutics Corporation (Nasdaq: UTHR) 8.2% HIGHER; announced that the FDA has approved ADCIRCA (tadalafil) tablets for oral administration, with a recommended dose of 40 mg, as the first once-daily phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). ADCIRCA is indicated to improve exercise ability in WHO Group I PAH patients, which encompasses patients with multiple forms of PAH including etiologies such as idiopathic and familial PAH as well as PAH associated with scleroderma and congenital heart disease.
