In a 13G filing after the close on Chiquita Brands International Inc. (NYSE: CQB), Steven Cohen's SAC Capital disclosed a 5.4% stake (2,316,900 shares) in the company. The firm held 265,000 CQB shares at the quarter ended 12/3107.
Chiquita Brands International, Inc. and its subsidiaries engage in the distribution and marketing of bananas and fresh produce under the Chiquita and other brand names worldwide.
SAC is a multi-strategy, $14 billion hedge fund founded by Steven A. Cohen in 1992.
