Hedge fund titan George Soros released the 13F for his Soros Fund Management, LLC fund for the quarter ended June 30, 2010.
The value of the disclosed portfolio is down from $8.75 billion at March 31, 2010 to $5.09 billion at June 30, 2010, but it should be noted that cash, short positions and various other securities are not required to be disclosed in the 13F filing.
During the quarter, George Soros became bullish with the U.S. dollar, invested in Sirius XM convertible notes, increased Massey Energy holdings by about 375%, and though Xerox was a solid Buy. Soros did pull out a lot, selling off such notable names as Verizon, Research in Motion, and AT&T; he had just about enough of retailers Wal-Mart and Best Buy; both Comcast and DIRECTV lost their luster as well.
