In a 13D filing on Barrier Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: BTRX), Steven Cohen's SAC Capital disclosed an 8% stake (2,820,200 shares) in the company. The hedge fund changed their filing status from a 13G to 13D.
The firm noted that on June 23 the company entered into a definitive merger agreement with Stiefel Laboratories, Inc.
SAC did not make any direct requests on the company but said they will monitor the investment and may talk with management, the board of directors and others.
